Kent County Superior Court House – Warwick, RI

The IRS® 1040 Bollard was developed as a staple fixture within a family of products called Infinite Reflector Series (IRS®). This family featured product such as interior wall sconces, table and floor lamps to exterior bollards and pole lights all using a fixture light source and an adjustable reflector to bounce and redirect the light. The IRS® 1040 Bollard was customized for this project to offer bidirectional illumination. The body of the bollard holds two LED modules, the down light throws light off of a polished internal reflector and redirects the light out of a sealed lens at the bottom of the bollard for pathway illumination. While the uplight module features a narrow beam angle throwing light into a sealed top cap with a 360° rotatable reflector to bounce and redirect the light away to illuminate shrubbery and outdoor seating areas in the exterior courtyards of the courthouse.

The Stainless Steel Bollards were designed and manufactured in two different body styles for this project. The tall 16’ pole lights were custom manufactured to produce area illumination for the front of the courthouse while the shorter 3.5’ bollards were used to illuminate pedestrian walkways and garden areas surrounding the courthouse.
